DES MOINES, Iowa â€" Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney will go on the offensive in the key swing state of Florida on Monday, his first chance to defend his pick of deficit hawk Paul Ryan with the state’s retirees â€" as Ryan faces his first solo day on the trail in Iowa.
With a tarmac handshake, the two men parted late Sunday in Wisconsin after a weekend spent campaigning side-by-side. Romney introduced his new partner early Saturday in Virginia, and the Wisconsin congressman concluded the weekend with an emotional homecoming.
